Marti Jeffers studied photography with several schools and professional photographers since the early-1980s. Marti left the corporate world after a long and successful career in the Information Technology business to pursue her love of photography as a full time career in 2006. For the next eight years, Marti's photography focused on teaching workshops, portrait and fine art photography. She also spoke at camera clubs in the greater Atlanta area, as well as nearby states. For more information on Marti, please see the About
section of this website.
Marti’s love of photography and passion for teaching combined a workshop setting into opportunities to learn the art of photography and to share special locations. Marti’s workshops provided a time to focus on your photography and create memorable images in an open and supportive environment.
Marti’s achievements in the art of photography are reflected in her portraits and fine art images.
Marti retired from full-time teaching of workshops at the end of 2013. She now lives on Saint Simons Island where she has ample opportunities to photograph the scenery and marshes of the Georgia coast. She now spends her time photographing for herself and fine art images, as well as learning the "fine art" of cruising on Defever 44 motor trawler. She also volunteers with the Saint Simons Land Trust in an effort to help preserve the Georgia coast and marshes. As she settles into retirment from teaching, watch for more of her fine art images in the Gallery section of this site.
Marti also visits Atlanta, where she lived for 44 years, regularly.
Marti may, from time to time, teach a workshop with another photographer/teacher. Those workshops will be posted to this site when they are scheduled.
Marti also offers individual or small group instruction in both the Atlanta area and the Saint Simons Island area. If you did not make it to a workshop or if you have a specific skill you want to improve, please Contact
Marti for rates and scheduling.
